Open Wingyy → Settings → Your license → Reveal → Copy, and paste the key somewhere that survives the uninstall: a password manager, a note, an email to yourself. That key is your account.
What survives, and what doesn't
Wingyy keeps your coaching data on the server as well as on the phone, so an uninstall costs you much less than people expect.
| What | Survives a reinstall? |
|---|---|
| Your matches and message history | Yes — restored from the server on first launch |
| Extracted facts, nicknames, the per-person dossier | Yes — same restore |
| Your subscription, plan and token balance | Yes — tied to your key, not your phone |
| Your license key | Only if you saved it — see above |
| On-device settings (scan depth, reply language, style ring) | No — a few seconds to set again |
| Android permissions | No — re-grant the two from the setup guide |
The restore is automatic. On first launch after a reinstall, the app notices its local database is empty and pulls your whole graph back — you'll see a "Restored N matches" message. You don't have to re-scan anything.
You already uninstalled and don't have the key
Not lost. Work down this list.

On the free trial? Just reinstall
The trial is tied to your device, not to an email. Install Wingyy again on the same phone and tap Try free — you'll get your original account and remaining tokens back rather than a new trial. Nothing else to do.
-
Subscribed? Use the recovery form
Go to wingyy.app → Lost your license key? and enter the email address you used at checkout. Try any other addresses you might have used — the key is tied to the exact one Stripe charged.
-
Check your purchase confirmation
Your key was shown on the confirmation page right after checkout. If that browser tab or its history is still around, the page will show it again.
-
Still stuck — email us
Write to support@wingyy.app from the address you paid with. We'll look the account up by hand and send the key back. Include the rough date you subscribed if you can.
"App not updated" / "Appen har inte uppdaterats"
Android refuses to install an update signed with a different key than the copy already on your phone. It's the check that stops someone pushing a fake "Wingyy update" onto your device, and it can't be bypassed — the app has to be reinstalled once.
This affects builds older than 1.2.3, which were signed with a different key than every release since. Everything from 1.2.3 onwards updates in place normally, so this is a one-time cost.
-
Copy your license key first
Settings → Your license → Reveal → Copy. On builds older than 1.5.0 that section doesn't exist — in that case recover the key by email using the form on the home page before you uninstall, or check your checkout confirmation.
-
Uninstall Wingyy
Long-press the icon → Uninstall, or Settings → Apps → Wingyy → Uninstall.
-
Install the current build
Download wingyy.app/get and install it. See the setup guide if Android's prompts get in the way.
-
Sign in and re-grant the two permissions
Paste your key, then turn on Wingyy Reader (accessibility) and Display over other apps. Your matches and coaching memory restore by themselves.
Reinstalling is rarely the fix. If the bubble is missing or scans come back empty, it's almost always a permission or a battery setting — start with Troubleshooting instead.
Moving to a new phone
Install Wingyy on the new phone from wingyy.app, paste the same license key, and grant the two permissions. Your matches and coaching memory arrive on first launch.
One licence is for you, not for one device, so you can move whenever you like — but it isn't for sharing: the key is your login, and a key being used by several people at once may be suspended.
The trial is device-bound, so a new phone won't carry it across and won't grant a second one either. Subscribe on the new phone, or finish the trial on the old one first.
